Advisory Panel
The City of New Westminster created an advisory panel for the replacement of the Canada Games Pool and Centennial Community Centre (CGP/CCC). The purpose of the advisory panel was to provide Parks and Recreation staff with a user-based perspective for the planning of the new facility.
The priority in the establishment of this advisory panel was to ensure all CGP/CCC activities were represented. A brief interview was required. A call for applicants went out in fall 2018, and the applicants were interviewed in October with the first advisory panel meeting occurring December 2018.
The advisory panel met throughout 2019 and concluded once the detailed design stage of the project was complete.
